The Fukuroi Plant functions as the mother plant for 5-ALA, manufacturing it in various quality standards for different applications such as pharmaceutical APIs, fertilizers, feed, health foods, and cosmetics. Utilizing advanced fermentation technology, the plant enhances quality and productivity for both domestic and international markets while expanding production scale.

The Fukuroi Plant was established in 1971 by Roche  Japan Co., Ltd. as a production base for pharmaceutical APIs and intermediates. In 2016, the plant was acquired by KIYAN PHARMA Co., Ltd. from API Corporation, and efforts are being made to expand contract manufacturing of pharmaceutical APIs and intermediates, in addition to 5-ALA.

Supporting consumer health and beauty with products such as the 5-ALA skincare brand “ALAVITA” and 5-ALA supplements, which are planned, manufactured, and sold.

Contributing to the health maintenance and growth promotion of plants and animals using 5-ALA, developing and providing products in fields such as agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, and animal healthcare.

Developing new drugs targeting diseases such as infectious diseases and lifestyle-related diseases, and expanding licensing businesses such as providing data obtained from clinical trials.
