Announcement of Anti-Doping Certification for 5-Aminolevulinic Acid (5-ALA) Raw Materials

(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Satoshi Kawada) is pleased to announce that 5-ALA, consistently produced at our Fukuroi factory (located in Fukuroi, Shizuoka Prefecture) for use as a food ingredient, has obtained the Informed Ingredient Certification through an anti-doping certification program.
This raw material certification was awarded by LGC Ltd*1, based in the UK, which has been operating one of the world’s largest anti-doping certification programs since 2007. This international anti-doping program certifies over 470 brands and 1,800 products worldwide, and is trusted by athletes globally.
With the acquisition of the Informed Ingredient Certification, it is expected that product development of sports foods and beverages containing 5-ALA will progress. Our company is committed to providing products that support the health and safety of athletes and all active individuals.
