Launch of Kikumasamune Sake Brewing Co., Ltd.’s 5-ALA Fortified Sweet Sake “Kikumasamune Daiginjo de Amazake 5-ALA”
We are pleased to announce the launch of “Kikumasamune Daiginjo de Amazake 5-ALA,” a sweet sake blended with 5-ALA food-grade ingredient produced at the Fukuroi Factory of NeoPharma Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Satoshi Kawada). This product is released by Kikumasamune Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, President: Jiroemon Kano).
5-ALA is an amino acid commonly found in foods consumed daily by the Japanese, and is particularly abundant in sweet sake. The history of sweet sake dates back to ancient times, as recorded in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan). In Japan, it became popular during the Edo period when it was valued for its digestibility and sweetness during the summer heat and humidity.
This product is a luxurious sweet sake, made using both Daiginjo koji and Daiginjo sake lees, combining the benefits of koji and sake lees unique to a sake brewery. It also features a smooth, creamy taste without any grainy texture.
Simply, 5-ALA has been added to it. This sweet sake is perfect for those concerned about beauty, health, and physical condition during the lingering summer heat.
